Courtney and Jon – Utah Wedding

Courtney and Jon chose a combination of 3 great venues to make their special Utah wedding day memorable and beautiful. They had their bridal/groomals taken at the Utah State Capitol, their ceremony at the Provo City Center Temple and their reception that night at the Vista at Cedar Hills. 

Courtney was one of the most prepared and organized brides we have ever worked with. She knew just what she wanted and planned everything with purpose and articulation. That said, she was kind, happy and easy to work with. 

Courtney’s bouquet was unique in that it had both real and artificial flowers in it. We decided to incorporate these to achieve specific color and texture without the weight and the delicate nature of succulents. We then used real flowers for the creams and burgundys and added fresh greens to make a natural look with fragrance.

Courtney loved the look of garlands so we incorporated lots of greens on her centerpieces. We alternated between lanterns with garland around them and garlands across the tables. She also chose garlands for accents on the food and sign-in tables.

At The Vista at Cedar Hills there is an elegant fireplace and mantle in the corner of the room, framed by lots of windows with views. We chose to make this a focal floral part of the reception by using full greens, heavy color pops, candles and lanterns.

Courtney and her mother Chris were so friendly, fun and easy to work with. All of Courtney’s efficient planning made for a smoothly run event where everything went off without a hitch. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to work with these wonderful people! Congrats Courtney and Jon! Your Utah wedding was a success!
